No podemos tener empresas por todo el mundo dado que nuestros estudiantes lo mismo están en Hong Kong, que en Argentina o en Alemania. Por eso la UNED habilita un sistema diferente a otras universidades de forma que las prácticas se firman para un estudiante concreto y en una empresa específica, a elección del estudiante o la empresa, a través del Vicerrectorado y el COIE (Centro de Orientación y del Empleo).
Dichas prácticas pueden ser remuneradas o no, según acuerden la empresa y el estudiante y siempre tendrán la consideración de prácticas extracurriculares.
Lo que sí es imprescindible es que se realicen mientras el estudiante cursa su titulación.
También lo es el que existe una limitación de horarios ya que en ningún caso un estudiante en prácticas puede realzar una actividad laboral en sustitución de un trabajador.
